gotta get down on friday

Went to Karamunsing in the afternoon with my parents to find whatever I can wear to the Gala.
Decided to try wearing the new casual wedges I bought the other day. Saja2 test power haha. Had lunch with them then decided to scour the whole place by myself. Saw many pretty dresses that would bring squeels of delight and joy to my skinny friends lol. At the same time, I was on the look-out for a nice handbag that could replace the one that I wanted in ML (didn't find one).

Failing to find both clothes & bag, I strayed to Hollywood Music House. I was totally attracted to the acoustic and electric guitars on display. And I even asked the woman presumably the owner, the permission to take pictures there..just in case it wasn't allowed so that I won't be asked to leave the store while I got snap-happy.

SOON

Good Lord, just look at the prices of those Fenders. They weren't joking when they said that Fenders were uber expensive :O

I would kill to get my hands on that Ibanez GART011LTD-SXB

That Ibanez AK95-DVS almost fooled me by making me think it was the Ibanez Artcore AGR70-BK

Paul Reed Smith guitars :D I'm loving that PRS SE Paul Allender~

Left the store as a happy woman. Would've been happier if I bought one of the guitars there haha.

Then my dad called and asked me how it was going with the clothes-searching. Said I couldn't find anything so they came to my rescue. Stopped by at the authorised Apple dealer store (whatevs), to ask about Apple earphones. Got the shock of my life to know that the earphones cost RM139.
Long story short, I manage to get a blouse :/ a nice one,but definitely the type that I would never wear in public =.=''
So yes, no dress for me. Just a fancy blouse & pants. Now I'm having second thoughts whether I should be attending it or not..

Anyways, we got back from Karamunsing and my dad stopped at 7-11. Told my dad I wanna jalan2 at Donggongon by myself. He hesitated to let me go until I muttered the magic words which were, "I'll go back home by myself".
Planned to take a look at L.A but I realized one just can't have too many lucky streaks with clothes in one day..or one week in my case. Went to a drug store (lol jk,I sounded American for a moment there. I meant pharmacy..) to buy this hair care product which was only available at that place.

Ended up buying the Sunsilk shampoo which I have never seen before along with the almond oil. Now you know I'm a total sucker for hair care products.

Thinking it was still early to go back,I ended up hanging out at the library. Being there brought up that feeling that I was still a secondary student cos I spent most of my time there studying for PMR & SPM and getting lost in pages of Tess Gerritson novels.
Since the library closes at 9 pm on Fridays, I immersed myself in reading Teen Vogue mags until I realized it was dark outside and I was gonna walk alone back to my place.

Wanted to borrow 'em, but I can't. Damn.

On my way back,I stopped by at the new bakery shop and I bought a bun which looked cute.

TESLian Gala Night for..

I've been doing sets for my good friends based on the upcoming event, TESLian Gala Night.

Started with Lelen. Did a black & gold themed set for her. Tried to use as much accesories that are similar to what she owns (esp. that owl necklace).

Black & Gold = eternally the most glamorous combination ever.

I tried to do a set for Dini but I just couldn't come up with an appropriate set. I'm afraid what I'll come up with might turn out to be offensive or inappropriate..

So I skipped her and did a set for Lion.

I think the colour matches her a lot. At first,I chose another black dress but I decided to experiment with other colours. With the power of my imagination, I picked this. One of the reasons why I picked this colour is, I somehow can relate the colour to her personality (slightly boyish, with a hint of crazy and fun. Plus,attention-grabbing). Don't ask me why,its hard to explain. Then I tried to match the accesories as much as possible to the dress. The tough part about creating this set was picking the right heels for her.

cheap happiness

Spent my whole day today getting all sweaty with my bestfriends (Joanne Karen & Quinnie Tan) looking for clothes in a magical place nicknamed L.A :P

Joanne testing out the Rayban ;)

We were supposed to go and watch a movie at the local cineplex but somehow,in between the talks with Jesselhart, we changed our minds and agreed to do shopping instead.
So we roamed the mall and checked out the shops there. Went to Treasure House in hopes of buying that bag I had my eye on the other day. Unfortunately, someone already bought it.
Then, Joanne decided to get a hair trim at Kimochi & Grace saloon. Waited for her to finish while Quinnie & I planned what to do next.

Decided to go out and hunt for cheap handbags.
Guess it was one of the best decision we ever made cos if we didn't go out, we wouldn't have found those awesome clothes :D

Going to Kimochi & Grace reminded me of the time when I got my hair dyed there. Didn't see the 2 hairstylists that used to work there. Kinda miss them cos they were so friendly.

I swear to God that it has been a better shopping experience compared to shopping at Parkson cos one, you don't get depressed after seeing the price tag. Two,bargaining & haggling (??). It's almost like treasure hunting.
One of the varsity jackets I spotted. Most of them were in small sizes but I hit the jackpot at the end of the day when I found the right one with the almost-right size.

I admit its not fabulous a place to shop but I found more great clothes there (that I could actually fit lol) than I ever did when I shopped at other clothes store. (I'll upload pics of the clothes I bought later.)

Anyway, I still haven't found anything suitable to wear for the TESLian Gala night :/ I probably won't be attending it if I can't find anything before I go back to Tawau.

P.S I managed to coax my mom to let me borrow her iPod.

MH2134

Something interesting happened on our way back to KK today. Our flight from Tawau diverted to Brunei International Airport cos the weather at KK was too bad for us to land. Felt excited for a mo' cos I've never been there before. Thought we were allowed to go out but it turns out that we didn't get the permission to do that so we were stuck inside the airplane for such a long time. It was hot and loads of the Japanese tourist were getting restless.

Finally took off around 5pm and arrived KK at 6'ish.

The weird thing is I don't feel the excitement the way I used to during the Raya holidays. Didn't even pack my stuff until after class and I was rushing like mad.
Even thought that it wouldn't be a bad idea to just stay at Tawau for Deepavali LOL.

closing ceremony of ELW :')

Last night has been one of the most memorable nights in my life.

Even though only a few came to watch the event, yet I still feel happy because
new bonds were made and many sweet memories were created that night.

Seniors and us during the setting up of the stage~

Enjoyed watching our senior's performance as well as ours. I wasn't involve on-stage cos I helped Andrea up in the technical room :)

English Language Camp

Totally happy that I got to join the English Language Camp:Night Session.
We ( choir members ) weren't allowed to join the first session which was the Ice-breaking session cos we had choir rehearsal at Rafflesia Hall.
I was not in a good mood, thinking how much fun the others were having with the seniors.
So we decided to sacrifice our rest hours (ordered by Madame) just so we could crash the "party".
Fiona Lee (senior) was surprised to see us cos after all the fuss about the choir clashing with the ELC,we manage to come by jg :)

Stole a few photos from Abel's (senior) and Lelen's FB for this post hoho

Obi : He did it for the lulz
