day out

Received a text when I was in Kuching from Leona saying that there was a gathering for all of us on the same day that I was going to return back to KK. Told my dad about it and luckily,I got his approval so I took a separate cab  directly from the airport to go to Warisan Square since they were planning to go there after their breakfast @Donggongon. Arranged to meet at Palm Square and I was so happy to see them. I actually had a sense of deja vu because last year I did the same thing; went to KK right after I landed at the airport from Kuching and went to check out Kaison and hangout.
Curse the things in the past that I refuse to forget. Cehh..

After buying my gift for Colette for the gift exchange, we went for nearly a 2-hour karaoke marathon. And even that felt like it ended too soon.

Take #2

Take #3

Yvonne; paling jarang dapat jumpa masa cuti.

But that didn't matter cos we planned to go to Tanjung Aru after that. Was hoping to have a taste of burger bakar but somehow we ended up ordering the usual nasi goreng etc etc from the stall.

Nasi Goreng Lalap.
I like how they used lettuce instead of the plain boiled cabbage but Nasi Goreng Lalap from Tawau is still the best.

Their order took the longest to arrive. Friggin' food stall was mad and shit because they surprisingly have a 'No Food from Outside' policy although that signboard alone wasn't on display and they only mentioned that (in a rude manner) after we brought our own drinks to the table.
Lambat servis tapi buat peraturan macam di restoran 5 bintang.
If you want me to rate this, I'll give it a middle finger.

But enough about that!
All I wanna say is that I totally enjoyed the day out with them. Do you how hard it is for each of us to simultaneously to find free time to meet? It's almost like a once in a blue moon thing to happen.
Glad that I got to spend the remaining days of 2012 with them

FreshKon: Hippie Chestnut

Due to recent eye health issues regarding cheap, coloured contact lenses that are easily available online and in the market, I decided to try on a more, safer recommended option of coloured contact lenses that are available in all optical stores. FreshKon lenses are affordable these days compared to when it was first introduced into the market.
I bought this at Focus Point,Karamunsing. I opted Perky Brown at first but the store didn't have the stock for my eye degree/power. Thus, I was left with choice to buy the other brown-colored lens that was available which was Hippie Chestnut.
After putting them on, I was shocked that it was more of a yellowish-brown than the intense brown that I was expecting but after some time, the color of the lens turned darker, more or less like the shade of brown that I wanted (or maybe I just got used to it,idk).

I posted a picture of me with them on at my Instagram so you guys can check it out there. I don't feel like posting pictures of me twice on any social network eseseh.

boxed goods

Dad bought me a rice cooker to reduce spending food from outside for next year.Kinda bigger than what I expected to buy but I guess that's good. Beggars can't be choosers leulz. Hopefully,I'll have more money to spare to actually buy useful things cos I always complain the major deduction from my monthly allowance is all because of eating outside. He also bought me sports shoes cos the one's I have aren't proper for certain campus activities.
Thanks Dad!
Plus,I bought myself a pair of FreshKon colored contact lenses (will explain more in another post)

What I got from the gift exchange among my secondary school bestfriends . This one's from Leona. Didn't expect I was still in the gift exchange cos I was late for it. Also didn't expect I actually got Leona's gift .
Thank you so much!

My dad applied for this under my name. But I'm not using it cos my Acer is still working ok (albeit the frequent lags and all)

Not necessarily in the boxed goods category but I figured it should be blogged anyway. This little piece of cuteness is from Kaison,Center Point.
Fell in love with the baby teal color and that cute, little horse thingy on it.
I almost bought another notebook just because it was the same color as this one (they matched,ok). Glad I didn't though cos after a lot of thinking,it really wasn't worth the purchase.

Baby boo :3

Come to think of it, I think most of the time I spend more time with this cat than anyone else in the house. Such a lovable piece of furball,it's impossible not to get this distracted by him. Everyone in the house knows that I always have him with me when I go to bath. Unlike my cat back home, he doesn't complain when I do so. My aunt calls him Asi but I bestowed him with a personal name as if he's my own cat haha
Gonna miss him loads since I won't be seeing any tame, fluffy feline like him back at campus

balik kampung

A few pictures from my stay here in Sarawak. I'm giving only the simplest elaboration I can remember. More can be checked out at my Instagram since I post on regular basis there.

2 of my cousins, Bibi and Mandy. Mandy is 1 year older than me. We used to be sooo close and tight (sharing dresses and all) but after long years of not returning back to Sarawak back then, things weren't the same. Everything between us is just casual nowadays.
How I miss those days~

Christmas carolers that came to the house a few days before Christmas.

After my first cousin's wedding :)

The super cute flowergirls, also at the after-wedding photoshoot.

Cousin's cousin from their dad's side.

Christmas fireworks

I didn't get to take much photographs from Christmas a few days ago. Christmas this year didn't really feel as festive as last year. Fewer cousins maybe? I wish I came here sooner or return to KK earlier. I feel like I don't have much time to settle my stuff before I fly back to Tawau.
Anyways, I hope you guys enjoyed your Christmas with all the presents and glorious food!

Trip to Serikin Market (near Sarawak-Indonesia border)

So my aunt and my uncle decided to bring us to Serikin today. Been hearing that the market there offers a wide range of bargainable products from Sarawak and Indonesia. Took off around 9 am but we still manage to get stuck into a horrid 2-hour jam. In the end, we resorted to walk to the market since it wasn't too far from where we stopped.

The only signboard that shows that we were in Serikin that I manage to snap.

Car park and resting area

When I saw this and hearing the Indonesian accent of the peddlers and costermongers, I actually had vibes of being in Indonesia.

Must be stylo beb even under the scorching sun.

Blue-legged crab!

Lovely crochet and lace detailed flats that were being sold for RM15
(could be lower if you bargain hard enough)

Only passed by the guitar stalls. Didn't manage to check out the prices of the guitars there.

Indonesian number plate woohooo
